Ego On Display

KWH KWH was inspired by the vibrant, printed advertisements that cover the exterior walls of corner store delis, particularly those showcasing meat and produce. The work's surface, painted canvas, is veiled by a thin layer of transparent fabric, which prominently displays the artist's initials in bold, block letters.

At the center of the piece, an embedded computer monitor presents an animated GIF that reimagines the mythical "sword in the stone" after the sword's removal. To guide the viewer's approach, a floating white fabric platform runs up to the canvas. A concrete pillar designed to evoke the stark, institutional aesthetic of a blank signpost interrupts the runway.
